Amy & Andy | Queenslake B&B Wedding Georgetown Kentucky
Amy and Andy’s celebration at Queenslake B&B in Georgetown Kentucky was the perfect blend of joy, intimacy, and heartfelt memories, and I had the honor of capturing it as their wedding photographer. Spring in Kentucky can be unpredictable, and this day was no exception, clouds and sprinkles danced across the sky for most of the afternoon. But just in time for Amy and Andy’s first dances, the sky opened up into the most beautiful golden Kentucky sunset, wrapping the property in warmth and light and giving their day an unforgettable glow.
What made this day so special was how personal it was. Amy chose to wear her grandmother’s wedding gown for most of the day as a tribute, honoring the family legacy and love she couldn’t have physically present. Every detail reflected intention and heart, from the joyful anticipation of friends and family arriving from all over the country, to the playful, celebratory vibe that filled every corner of the venue. Amy and Andy had actually eloped in Las Vegas some time ago, keeping it private at first, so this day wasn’t about the legal vows but about celebrating their love surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
The destination wedding feel was tangible from the very start. Guests, many traveling from out of town, gathered for a welcome party at Keeneland to enjoy the races, setting the stage for a weekend that blended Kentucky tradition with the couple’s unique personality. At the reception, each table was adorned with a nod to a different Kentucky bourbon distillery, a clever and heartfelt way give every guest a taste of the region’s charm.
The atmosphere at Queenslake B&B was electric and fun. Disco balls, reflecting the energy of a group ready to celebrate fully. Laughter mingled with tears as family and friends gave speeches, shared memories, and watched as Amy and Andy danced under the golden light of the sunset. It was a day that perfectly balanced lighthearted joy with deeply emotional moments, moments that, as a wedding photographer, I live for capturing.
Being part of Amy and Andy’s celebration reminded me why I love photographing weddings in Kentucky. The combination of heartfelt emotion, intentional design, and the joy of people fully present for those they love makes each event feel timeless. Queenslake B&B provided the perfect backdrop for a day that was as fun and celebratory as it was intimate and meaningful.
